Six Songs of me - How we use your information
What information does the site collect?
We collect your name, email address and information on your songs choices as mandatory requirements to create your Six Songs of Me profile. You can choose to also provide your location, occupation, gender and age so you can see how your music choices compare to other people across the world.
How we your use information
We will use the data on the Six Songs of Me site and also on Guardian.co.uk to create your profile, and we may produce anonymised editorial content based on aggregates of song choices, location, age, gender and location.
Your name and your choices will be shown on the Six Songs of Me site, and with anyone you choose to share your profile with, including on social networking sites.
Your email address may be used to send you editorial updates from Guardian Music. You will be able to unsubscribe from these emails using a link at the bottom of each email.
Your email address will only used to provide you with promotional content from the Guardian or selected third parties with your permission.
Collection of children’s information
You must be 16 or over to participate in Six Songs of Me. The site does not knowingly collect information from children.
Logging in with Facebook
If you choose to log in with Facebook we will automatically receive your first name, last name, the email address you use on Facebook, friends names, gender and timezone. If you share your Six Songs on Facebook a link to your songs and a link to The Guardian will appear on your Facebook page.
Interaction with Spotify
We are using Spotify so that you and other users of the site can listen to the six songs selected.
